The couple was so genuine. Liat's playful side at the countertop showroom was delightful. My adult daughter commented how proud she was to see kind, reasonable people and MOTs as well. They wanted a change for all the right reasons...

I watch this show all of the time, and I can't remember another couple showing the class and thoughtfulness these two did. I am not Jewish, but I have always harbored a special feeling for the Jewish people since I do have Jewish ancestry. (My father's mother was Jewish). I have seen other episodes where the couples seemed less than grateful, and a few where one partner was very disrespectful or demeaning to the other. I know that this show is not a true representation of reality, but the way that these couples conduct themselves on national TV is very telling. Zack and Liat seemed kind and considerate. I also think Liat is adorable and funny! I was especially touched by the gifts of thanks they gave the brothers at the end. I had my children watch this so they could see an example of thoughtfulness and good manners. What a nice couple to represent your community!

This Kosher Kitchen Video has seemed to stir (pardon the pun, I couldn't help it) a lot of people up. They are a sweet couple who want to share their good fortune ,of have being chosen for a renovation TV show. The could have chosen to make their basement a play room for their children. Instead they chose their kitchen and dining room so they could host many people for Shabbat and Yontiff, who may not have family in the city. It's a big Kiddush Hashem!!! You will notice they aren't throwing rocks at other Jews in their neighbourhood who might not keep Kosher.... maybe they hadthem for Shabbat. Mazal Tov Zack & Liat... Enjoy your Kitchen!

What a good looking couple!!!! Good for them for getting on the show and doing such a kiddush hashem for the whole community. Why shouldn't Jews go on shows? For those of you who are jealous... don't be a hater! I hope that this family has nothing less than amazing smachot in their new home!!!

I tuned in to this episode by accident, channel hopping and could not be more excited to see that the Property Brothers had chosen to do a show about a Kosher kitchen for a frum young couple. Liat and Zack expressed their desires for a beautiful kosher kitchen and large dining room to entertain many people without acting like they have "entitlement" for what they want. Their happy go lucky attitude and sweet disposition made me feel proud to have them as representatives of the frum community, The show was informative and promotes understanding between the multi-cultural society that defines Toronto.

Yeah thats great when you can have someone else pay for it. But what about the rest of us who don't have a tv show paying for all that?

The couple paid for their kitchen. You want a nice new kitchen? Figure it out. If you can't afford it, and most of us can't, it's not in Hashem's plan for you at the moment.

I saw the whole show...seemed like a really nice couple who represented Judaism and Jewish people very well! Maybe all these naysayers need to go live in Ramat Beit Shemesh - silly judgmentalism seems to fit it nicely there. When are we going to learn the Jewish value that just because people have different legitimate hashkafos than me does NOT mean they are bad people or practicing Judaism incorrectly!

Good for them for finding a smart way to get a gourmet kosher kitchen without investing a huge amount of money. I also thought that they made such a beautiful kiddush Hashem by showing the world that frum people are friendly and kind - how many other people on this show have given a gift to the "brothers" at the end?? I don't see why this is self-serving at all. I wish them all the best in their new, beautiful home!!

Why do we always have to one-up ourselves in the comments? Why does everyone have to judge the actions of others? No wonder people view the Orhodox unfavorably. Additionally, this clip was in the humor section, not the editorials. We don't have to out-frum each other at every turn.

It's so exciting to see frum people on this kind of show who are so proud to be Jewish and so committed to what they do. Zack and Liat were so cute and funny and I'm so happy for the incredible new kitchen they got. I hope their family continues to grow and they only experience nachas and simcha in their new home.

While I understand where you're coming from in terms of the struggles many young families face, I just wanted to say that I personally know this couple. For starters, this is not their first kitchen. They have been through the mill of small apartments and tinier kitchens, and all the while their home has always been about hospitality and welcoming any and all Jews to their Shabbos table. I'm not exaggerating when I say they have guests almost every day of the week. They went on this show so that they could have a beautiful house and kitchen with which to welcome disconnected Jews into their home. They're not claiming that the key to a kosher home is putting a lot of money into a home and kitchen. The show kicked in part of the cost of the renovation, and put in items to the final cost that this couple had no intention of keeping. It might be called "reality TV," but it's the furthest thing from reality. As religious Jews, we need to keep track of the fact that just because it said so on TV doesn't mean it really happened that way. I'm not trying to belittle the sacrifice involved in living in Jerusalem, but just please understand that this couple only have everyone else in mind. They're not trying to glorify gashmius, only to create a beautiful atmosphere for the many many people they welcome into their home, so that they can teach them about the beauty of Judaism.

I saw this when it originally aired on HGTV. I was so proud that they featured a kosher kitcchen in this one episode. Let's show the world there are observant Jews out there. (I think the couple featured is in Toronto)

As a frum Jewish wife, I think it was a little bit strange for a (what looks like) yeshivish frum couple to get up on t.v. It looks like they're supporting this television show=not something frum Jews should be doing. Also, I grew up in a mansion of a home and now have chosen to live in Jerusalem in a tiny (read: actually TINY) apartment in a parking garage, along with many other young couples who couldn't survive the rent of this holy city otherwise. This couple's first kitchen is a dream to me! I understand that they have a few children, but there are plenty of families in many different communities with many more children and MUCH less space. It can be done without being extravegant. It can be done in a two or three bedroom apartment with no view. It doesn't need to be a huge home with a big backyard and a huge, $15,000 kitchen. PLEASE show world Jewry what religious Jews are all about, not how high our standard of living has become in some (not all!) communities. Thank you AISH and keep up the good work!

One, it is not their first kitchen. Two, Judaism is about suffering in a two bedroom apartment with no view. If that is what your lot is, then be happy, but it is okay if your lot is bigger as long as you recognize where it came from. I think this couple did a fantastic job of showing the world what religious Jews are all about. They were kind, down to earth and represented us well.

Kosher is an incredible undertaking, but there's no reason is has to be expensive. Perhaps it will cost some small initial investments in dishes and pots, but you don't need to remodel your home. I'm a bit surprised of the mistaken impression this video gives: That religious people are extravagant. There are many who are, and there's a place for that depending on their background and cultural setting, but it has little to do with Judaism. I'll add that Kosher at it's essence is a submission to our Creator, recognizing that He knows what is spiritually healthy for His children. Keeping Kosher in the context of a "dream kitchen" is move more towards self-serving than G-d serving.

I have a kosher kitchen too, but its tiny and run down. That doesn't mean I can't be happy if someone else can afford a nice one. It's beautiful! I hope they enjoy it for many years.

My wife is always complaining about our kitchen size. This would be a nice present. Can they put in an island for good measure?
